Pants 2
New Places, New People
Tom Cravens
You join the girls as they are preparing to do different things for their summer vacations. Bridget (Blake Lively) will be going to Turkey to help on an archaeology dig, Lena (Alexis Bledel) will take a summer drawing class, Tibby (Amber Tamblyn) will be working at a video store, and Carmen (America Ferrera) will join Julia (Rachel Nichols), a friend from college to Vermont for the summer theatre.
Before Bridget leaves, she finds the letters from Grandma Greta (Blythe Danner) that her father (Ernie Lively) had hidden from her for several years. Plus the father/daughter relationship is very strained.
Lena is unaware that the drawing class is of male nudes. The live model, Leo (Jesse Williams) becomes the object of attention for her.
Tibby and Brian (Leonardo Nam) enjoy a night of romance with unexpected results; something which causes Tibby to rethink everything she knows and wants from Brian.
Carmen finds someone in Vermont, Ian (Tom Wisdom). He forces her out of the backstage and into the spotlight.
spotlight. And, when Effie (Lucy Hale) loses the pants in Greece, Lena learns from her Grandma Yia Yia (Maria Konstadarou) that Greek girls don’t loose their pants.
The girls are young women now and it is not easy growing older; new places, new people, and new challenges. All the while trying not to lose yourself or the friends that have shared so much together.
The problems of family and friends seem to never end. And, the miracle of the pants, sometimes works and at other times does not.
Summer Adventures
Cozette Cravens
At the beginning of the summer, they meet for a brief period to exchange experiences with college life, where they discover they are not going to be spending the summer together. Instead, going off to different adventures.
Bridget (Blake Lively) is going to Turkey to dig up bones, while Lena (Alexis Bledel) is going to an art school, Tibby (Amber Tamblyn) gets a job in a video store, while Carmen (America Ferrera) goes to Vermont to experience the Shakespearean Theatre.
Carmen seemed to be disappointed that the four of them were not spending the summer together. The girls said they’d keep in contact by phone and emails, but as each girl gets involved with their own life and problems the connection between them becomes sparse.
Bridget visits her grandmother Greta (Blythe Danner) and builds a good relationship with her, then goes back to her father and lets him know she has a better understanding of her mother’s death.
Lena’s sister Effie (Lucy Hale) takes the jean pants, which her sister and friends hold so dear and loses them in Greece while visiting family.

The movie shows how even the best of friends can lose contact but in a pinch will come together to help each other.
There are romantic interests that come and go with three of the girls. The movie tells of each girl’s adventure and how they interconnect throughout the story.
This was a feel good movie for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would add it to my library.
